Categories

Applicants will be notified on August 14, 2011 of the finalist for all categories. 6 Amateurs, 5 Fitness, 5 Masters and 10 Ultimate Pole Star contestants will be chosen to compete in the final competition in September for the title of “Miss Texas Pole Star 2011.

Winner from each category must be available for appearances and performances for the next 12 months, not to exceed 4 appearances in a 12 month period. Winner of each category will be required to be present at the 2012 pageant.

Amateur Division

Amateur contestants are those that have  never instructed or received compensation for employment or performances. Amateur contestants would be considered Level 1, 2, 3 students. Heels optional.

  • 3 minute song
  • 10 seconds of continuous floor work
  • 3 spins
  • 1 inversions
  • 1 inverted leg hold (ie: gemini, scorpio, flat line, layout)

Fitness Division

Fitness contestants are those that have never instructed or received compensation for employment or performances.  Fitness contestants would be considered Level 4 and above. Heels optional.

  • 3 minute song
  • 20 seconds of continuous floor work
  • 3 spins
  • 2 inversions
  • 1 inner thigh hold
  • shoulder mount

Masters Division

Masters Division contestants are those athletes age 40 and older. Contestants MAY be Instructors or students. Heels optional.

  • 3 minute song
  • 20 seconds of continuous floor work
  • 3 spins
  • 2 inversions
  • 1 inverted leg hold (ie: gemini, scorpio, flat line, layout)

Ultimate Pole Star Division

Ultimate Level contestants are those that have not received compensation for employment or performances  during the current year  and a Level 6 or above. 5 inch minimum heels required.

  • 3-4 minute song
  • 20 seconds of continuous floor work
  • 3 spins
  • 1 spinning inversion
  • 1 handstand
  • 1 split
