Miss Texas Pole Star is now a 2 day event!

The Miss Texas Pole Star Organization is proud to announce this year to be a 2 day event. “This will be the first pole and aerial arts convention and competition ever in Texas” according to Linda Spraggins, Co-Founder of Miss Texas Pole Star. We have worked very hard this year to include more workshops, vendor’s and studios to share in this sport that we all love. This years competition is presented by X-Pole. In addition to being a wonderful sponsor they are bringing “free” workshops to Texas! The first round of the competition and convention will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012 at “Off the Grid” in Dallas Texas. http://www.partyoffthegrid.com/

Saturday evening will be the finals for the Ultimate competitors and special performances from Miss Texas Pole Star 2012 Ultimate winner, Brynn Route, Alethea Austin and many more. Miss Texas Pole Star announces Judges

We are so pleased to announce the amazing line up of Judges for the 3rd annual Miss Texas Pole Star Competition. All of these women have made such an impact in the world of pole and have made it possible for women to have competitions such as Miss Texas Pole Star to showcase their talent. Our online Judges begins with two pioneers in the pole community, Fawnia Dietrich and Pantera Blacksmith. In addition to Fawnia and Pantera we welcome USPDF 2011 champion Natasha Wang and Kelly Yvonne, founder of Girl Next Door and The Choreography House in LA. These women will be judging through online video submissions and their scores will be tabulated to name the finalist for the competition.

For the competition we welcome our current Miss Texas Pole Star Ultimate winner of 2011, Brynn Route. Alongside Brynn is Estee Zakar, USPDF 2010 Silver Medalist, Jamilla Deville, PDI Instructor of the year 2011, Karol Helms, 2010 USPDF Champion Ms Sexy, Michelle Mynx, owner of Academy of Pole Dance, Natasha Wang, USPDF 2011 champion, and Pantera Blacksmith, Honary Miss Texas Pole Star and World’s Most Famous Pole Dancer.

Alethea is recognized worldwide as one of the top Pole Dance instructors and elite competing performers. Her slow controlled flow, flexible lines, isolated body waves, and ability to emote through dance helped her claim the title of US Pole Dance Federation Champion in 2010 are now distinctive elements of her Sexy Flexy style.

Miss Texas Pole Star welcomes Allison Cox in October

The Miss Texas Pole Star Organization welcomes to Dallas Allison Cox, founder of the Florida Pole Fitness Championship. Allison will be at the MTPS convention and competition in October. We are thrilled to have her in Texas for our event. Please take a moment and read over her bio. We thank her for supporting MTPS.

Allison is a professionally trained dancer and was a national junior olympic gymnast as a child. In 2005 she discovered the art of pole dancing, and placed 3rd in the 2010 USPDF East Coast Regionals competition earning her “PRO STATUS”, making her one of the top Professional Pole athletes in the country. She is sponsored by XPole and BadKitty Pole Fit, is a Fitness Rep for Pole Dance International Magazine and is an XPert Pole Fitness Master Trainer. As the founder of the Florida Pole Fitness Championship and OnlinePoleLessons.com, Allison not only brings her professional competition experience but also her classical dance expertise from her 20 years of training to create a unique teaching environment in the “art of pole”.

MTPS Brynn Route competes in NAPA

MTPS Co-Founders Linda Spraggins and Karen Palmer along with 2010 MTPS winner Amy Henderson attended the 1st National Aerial Pole Art Competition in Las Vegas on Sunday to support current MTPS winner Brynn Route. Brynn’s performance was outstanding and it was apparent how hard she had worked. She performed with some of the best talent in the country, including Dallas performer Winter Rainone who also did an outstanding job. Texas should be very proud of both of these women. The pre and post parties were hosted by Bad Kitty and Platinum pole and gave all in attendence a chance to put names with faces. Attendees were Natasha Bajic, owner of Brass Ovaries in Austin (home to current MTPS Brynn Route and current MTPS Fitness winner Lindsey Dement), Fatima Aguirre, Joel and Vinny from Mighty Grip, Fawnia, David C.
